Ratchet
Our ratchet tie downs are produced in two variants:
With hooks at both ends (type hh): it contains short polyester belt (0,5 m with ratchet at one end and hook at the other) and longer polyester belt (3-12 m with hooks at both ends). This execution allows the hooks to be attached to the platform of the truck and the polyester belt itself is tightened thanks to the ratchet.
Without hooks(type hh): the polyester belt (3-12 m) has a ratchet at its end. This execution allows the polyester belt to cover the goods that need to be anchored, while the loose end of the belt enters the ratchet and it is tightened
The technical parameters are similar in both variants; you can see the info in the chart below:

There are two main ways of anchoring loads. It is very important to choose the correct one in a given situation, so you can get the optimal technical benefit.
- Anchoring through pressing
When tightening the ratchet tie down and pressing the load towards the platform of the truck, the friction force between the load and the platform gets higher and the load gets fasten to the platform. Here the most important parameter is the tensile strength of the polyester belt.
- Anchoring through tying
Here the most important parameter is the breaking load of the polyester belt.
The first way of anchoring is more popular.
